How to Play
Two minutes to learn, a lifetime of arguing whether Maradona fits the FLEX slot.
The basics
FootyRush is a fast football draft game. Every round you spin the wheel to land on a country and year (or a league and era in Champions Run), then pick one player from that squad's board. Six picks build your team: two attackers, two defenders, a goalkeeper, and a FLEX wildcard that takes any outfield player. When your squad is complete, the tournament simulates — and you watch your run play out.
Pick your team
Before you play you pick your national team (and a club for Champions Run). You can change it anytime in the menu, or just for one run from the AS bar in a draft. When the wheel lands on your team, those players get a +2 rating boost when you draft them — loyalty pays.
Ratings, attack and defence
Every player card carries an overall rating from their real tournament performances. Your attack is driven by your forwards (and midfielders), your defence by your defenders and keeper — the FLEX player counts as whatever they really are. Stronger lines mean more expected goals for you and fewer against you in the simulation.
Chemistry
Chemistry runs from 0 to 100% and boosts your whole team. Pairs of players earn it: sharing a country (any era) counts, being actual World Cup teammates counts more, and having really played together at the same club in the same era counts most. Reaching 100% means deliberately stacking one squad — rare, and worth it.
Extra spins
Don't like the board? Use an extra spin to reroll the country and year. You get 20 free spins as a welcome gift, +5 for every friend who signs up through your link, and you can buy packs in the store. In head-to-head drafts a reroll spends one spin and resets your pick clock.
Game modes
World Cup: draft six and survive a seeded knockout tournament. Champions Run: draft from league-and-era boards, finish top four in the league, then conquer the group stage and knockouts. Play a Friend: share a link and run a live snake draft against a friend, ten-second picks, then one final decides it. Global Domination: the same live draft against the next player in the queue, with a seasonal ladder.
Head-to-head tips
In live drafts you and your opponent pick from the same boards, turn by turn. Watch their board while they pick, count their open slots, and remember the pick clock — if you leave, the game picks for you, and a player who disappears forfeits. The winner gets bragging rights: one trash-talk line, straight to the loser's screen.
